Facilities were tidy, decent amount of parking space. Beautiful location, just off the bar
-
alright food, friendly staff. there were a work desk, ironing facilities and a clothes rack in the room, greatly enjoyed that. the place is 1 km away from newtonmore downtown. the service was terrific in that hotel.
-
Staff and facilities could not be better. Very clean unit. Stopped by Toshacs Tuck Shop to get some coffee and treats, it's extremely close to the venue, recommend. Moreover, WiFi was acceptable, you can use it in all rooms.

Situation is good.
-
Friendly and very dedicated staff
Bed very old and creaking with every movement. Hotel has very thin walls
-
Location is good. Breakfast without buffet - already fitted.

The Highlander Hotel was lovely, the staff could not do enough for us. The food was excellent with a varied choice on both the dinner and breakfast menu to suit everyone. I read a review of the hotel before we went and was a wee bit concerned but to be honest I think that particular reviewer must have been staying at a different hotel!!. The bedroom was excellent - we brought our dog and sometimes when you include a dog in your booking you can tend to be given a room not quite so nice - but ours was perfect. We will certainly be back - already planning a wee trip with a three of my friends in September.

Reason we chose Highlander was we were going to the the open golf at castle stewart, could not get a hotel any nearer.this apart could not have had a more friendly hotel, all staff are to be complimented, room was clean and comforuble food very good, everyone most helpful
-
First thing i like about Highlander hotel is its location. Its beautifull place aroung the hotel. Room size and color is really good. I feel like i am in my bedroom..Really enjoy...Breakfast is really testy...
-
The flexability of the staff for an early breakfast to be up the hill for a ski race on time
shower, very basic and hot water took forever to come through
-
all the staff were very friendly, room was spotless, we phoned ahead to say we would be arriving in an hours time at 8pm staff had put the heating on in the room which was great on a cold nite. breakfast was good plenty of cereal to chose from loads of toast fry up was great just what we needed
room needs upgrading, but not that bad

Although we were the only guests at this period, and were preparing for a family funeral, I can offer only praise the the staff on duty, for there help and attention.
-
Whilst we were the only guests at this time, the staff were very attentive, and could not have been any more helpful
I find it hard to fault hotel on this occasion

The Highlander Hotel represents great value for money and was friendly and comfortable. My only negative comment would be that the decor is very outdated and could do with a bit of an overhaul, especially in the main areas of the hotel. It was ideal for families and offered great accomadation - overall I would not hesitate to recommend it, but please lose some of the floral carpets, curtains sofas !!!!!!!!!!!!
